Cadmoindite is a known member of the Linnaeite group. Cadmoindite is most commonly found at its type of locality at Kudriavy tratovolcano on the northernmost part of Iturup Isle in the southern Kurile Islands. Cadmoindite was named for its chemistry as the Cd analogue of indite. Mineral Cadmoindite is known to crystallize in the isometric system of crystal formation.
